Guys.
I don’t have a ‘type’ of guy, I find a lot of completely different looking guys hot and their personalities vary a bit, if I actually know them. However, no matter what; skinny/slim guys with brown/dark blond hair and blue eyes are instantly hotter than average. HOORAY FOR SLIM BROWN HAIRED GUYS.

Insight from the Dalai Lama. 25/02/12 - 26/02/12
‘You must build your basic mental attitude in a healthy way, like in the case of a healthy body. If the immune system is strong, then some virus or germs can’t disturb you much. So similarly, your mental attitude has to be calm, then if some disturbance comes, even if some negative emotions come, they remain for a very short period. All the emotions remain on the surface, and do not...

‘Perhaps the deepest reason why we are afraid of death is because we do not know who we are. We believe in a personal, unique and separate identity; but if we dare to examine it, we find that this identity depends entirely on an endless collection of things to prop it up, our name, our ‘biography’, our partners, family, home, job, friends, credit cards… It is on their...

Insight from the Dalai Lama. 23/02/12
‘Though at first you might question the possibility of Buddhahood, full spiritual transformation becomes realistic when you consider the effectiveness of love, compassion, and the altruistic intention to become enlightened. They will support you on your spiritual path, and you will be amazed at their power’ - Dalai Lama

‘The Buddha described us as a collection of five changing processes: the processes of the physical body, of feelings, of perceptions, of responses, and of the flow of consciousness that experiences them all. Our sense of self arises whenever we grasp at or identify with these patterns.  Our world and sense of self is a play of patterns. Any identity we can grasp is transient,...

The Fault In Our Stars. (Tabbed)
Whilst I was reading The Fault In Our Stars, by John Green, I tabbed pages that I thought were especially sweet, sad, exceptional or made me feel angry at a character or event. There were fourteen pages I tabbed in total and they are the following: p73 p111 p123 p125 p153 p192 p207 p245 p258 p281 p306 p310 I think the fact that the tabs are relatively spaced out throughout the book,...

The Fox Hat and the Unlit Cigarette.
I just read a post comparing Takumi’s fox hat (Looking For Alaska) with Augustus’ unlit cigarette (The Fault In Our Stars). This idea is interesting. It kinda makes me wonder how many people I know have things like this that I haven’t actually noticed yet.

The Fault In Our Stars.
I just finished The Fault In Our Stars. Holy shit that book is amazing, I don’t know how it compares to Looking For Alaska just yet (which is my favourite John Green book) but the first half had me think about the blunt-ness of John Green’s portrayal of Hazel, Augustus and Isaac. The second half made me tear up and almost cry so many times and the ending, in my opinion was stunning....

‘We see that life, composed of this mind and body, is in a state of continual constant transformation and flux. There is always the possibility of radical change. Every moment - not just poetically or figuratively, but literally - every moment we are dyring and being reborn, we and all of life’ - Sharon Salzberg

Flirting.
I didn’t realise it but people (who say this) are right, using one word as a “symbolic” means of flirting can be very effective and hot.

My Uncle.
My uncle and his wife are over. I love him so much. People usually have that stereotypical ‘wise’ family member, and he’s mine. He reminds me of what I can remember of my Papa (mum’s dad) before he died. Whenever my uncle talks he’s hilarious and he just seems so knowledgeable, it makes you listen and question what/how you thought before. It also helps that he...
